Today, John Hogg Technical Solutions is a leading manufacturer of solvent soluble dyes and marker chemicals for the international petroleum industry. We offer a wide range of dyes and markers to meet specific fiscal and customer requirements worldwide. We meet national fuel marking legislation and individual customer needs with our DYEGUARD™ brand and colour matching service.
Our business has grown quickly over recent years due to being one of the principal suppliers of the Euromarker and we now have a talented and experienced team of employees based in Manchester. We supply to the refineries and terminals of multinational oil companies, fuel distribution companies, lubricant oil manufacturers and blenders and transport companies. We have international product approvals with the major oil companies.
We have a large customer base in the UK, and also many years of advising our customers on fuel dyes and markers around the world and exporting our products to meet their needs. We currently supply more than 60 countries globally across all the continents.
Marketing Philosophy
For more than 20 years, we have taken pride in being one of the world’s leading suppliers of fuel and lubricant dyes and markers. We have never allowed ourselves to be diverted into other fields, so have built up an impressive store of knowledge, contacts and partners. These enable us to provide the right solutions for identification of refined hydrocarbons, throughout the international petroleum industry.
Firstly our products…
We manufacture a wide range of liquid solvent soluble dyes ourselves which are used for quick visual identification. We also produce markers that can be measured accurately, and blend them together at our plant in Manchester so they are reliably received by our customers in a consistent and easy-to-use liquid form.
We have a broader range of dye products than anyone else in the business. There are still some applications where the ideal marking solution has not yet been developed, so we employ a research department to investigate all potential technologies and develop their application in the fuel protection market.

As necessary, we take care to adjust our standard products and packaging so they conform exactly to what is needed.
